  18. Thank you for downloading this Visual Basic 5 component. Please 
  19. take some time to read through thedocumentation and the sample 
  20. project included. This component was built using Visual Basic 5.0 
  21. Service Pack 3 so the VB5 runtime is also updated, you can get 
  22. the new runtime from:

  25. **Note**: IF YOU HAVE VB5 THEN YOU MUST EITHER UPGRADE TO SERVICE PACK 2 OR 3.

  39. code so you can see it in action first hand!

  90. November 16, 1997 - Major upgrade! CRC Checksum added to ensure integrity of individual files
  91. and many bugs fixed. Many new methods added to make control easier to use, but it is still
  92. backwards compatible. Next update will (or should) include disk spanning! (1.0f 1086)

  94. November 18, 1997 - Adding features introduced a few bugs but they were fixed in this

  97. November 29, 1997 - After listening to a few users, this control was redone a little under the
  98. hood to make it more programmer freindly and now comes with a brand new demo/example! (1.0f 1090)

  100. February 1, 1998 - Added the option of encrypting files, it's very fast. Encrypts a 
  101. 163kb file in 8 seconds and offers a 32bit cipher. Very easy to use and all automatic. Disk
  102. spanning was also added to this release! Documentation is now in help file format! (1.0f 1092)

  104. March 13, 1998 - ActiveZipper Pro has a real installer, this was due to the fact that the control
  105. did not want to register itself properly on some machines, hopefully this will alleviate the
  106. problems people are having. (1.0f 1092r2)

  108. April 14, 1998 - ActiveZipper Pro now supports the IIS environment! Yes, you can now use ActiveZipper
  109. Pro along with your MS Internet Information Server (3.0 or 4.0) O'Reilly WebSite still has to be 
  110. tested on but should work well. Fixed a nasty bug that caused ActiveZipper Pro to fail when using 
  111. the Disk spanning feature (1.0f 1092r3)

  113. August 31, 1998 - General maintainence release. Some minor bugs squashed and tweaked the compression 
  114. engine slightly. (1.0f 1092r4)

  116. November 25, 1998 - PKzip/PKunzip support implemented. Streamlined the use of the control and new 
  117. version includes a brand new rewritten help file! More methods and properties will be put in
  118. shortly. (1.0f 1094)

  120. Janurary 4, 1999 - First release of the new year and this version eliminates a nasty bug in the
  121. UnZipIt method (thanks to a hawk eyed user). (1.0f 1094r2)

  123. January 12, 1999 - Some more bugs found in the PKzip/PKunzip portion of ActiveZipper Pro, these
  124. have been fixed along with some typographical errors corrected in the help file. (1.0f 1094r3)
